Xfinity

Xfinity offers a total of six cable as well as two fiber plans — all plans have data caps. The prices start at $45 and can go up to $299. Download speeds vary between 50 Mbps and 2,000 Mbps. Xfinity is known to offer fast internet plans, so this ISP is a great choice if you work remotely or stream a lot. If you opt for an Xfinity plan, you can choose to bundle your phone, cable TV, cell phone, and home security plans with your internet package.

Verizon Fios

Verizon Fios, also known as Verizon Internet, offers one of the most flexible fiber plans. There are three Fios plans available for customers, and their costs range between $39.99 and $79.99. Speeds start at 200 Mbps and can go as high as 940 Mbps. You’re offered unlimited data usage. Verizon’s plans are ideal for people who don’t want data caps.

AT&T

AT&T providers hybrid-fiber and fiber internet service. Prices for the company’s plans range between $35 and $60 per month. AT&T’s fiber plans offer unlimited data; however, the hybrid-fiber plans (which are common in rural and suburban areas) have data caps. The download speeds vary between 10 and 100 Mbps. The best part is that AT&T doesn’t require you to sign a contract, which means you can change your provider at any time. The company also offers bundles with its phone and TV services.

Spectrum

Spectrum offers HFC (hybrid-fiber coaxial) internet, which essentially relies on both coaxial and fiber optic lines. Spectrum is considered one of the largest ISPs in the country with wide coverage. The company offers a total of three internet plans, with download speeds ranging between 200 and 940 Mbps. Upload speeds range between 10 and 35 Mbps. Prices start at $49.99, but you can score discounts if you bundle your plan with Spectrum’s TV plan. The ISP also doesn’t require customers to sign contracts, and the modem is offered to you for free.
